WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?
This depends on the type of session. Typically, your first appointment will consist of a comprehensive review of your health concerns, any necessary physical exams will be performed and any necessary labs will be ordered. A basic treatment plan may be introduced during this visit, but often a detailed treatment plan is made after all lab results have been reviewed. This allows for a more personalized treatment plan.
DO YOU HELP TREAT CHRONIC ILLNESS?
The majority of patients Dr. von Plitt has worked with are suffering from chronic health conditions, but it is important to note that Dr. von Plitt focuses on treating the person, not the condition. Regardless of the condition a patient is struggling with, Dr. von Plitt focuses his treatments on supporting their body's innate healing ability. The goal of this approach is to create an environment in each patient's body that is inhospitable to illness.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?
The most helpful thing you can do in preparation for your first appointment is to create a couple of lists to bring to your appointment.
Supplement/Medication list:
Create a list of every supplement, herb, and medication that you are taking, along with how much you take and how often you take it.
Medical History List
Create a list of all hospitalizations, surgeries, or current medical diagnoses, along with dates (month/year) for each event or diagnosis.
Family Medical History:
Create a list of all family members who have experienced symptoms similar to yours.
Goals List:
Create a list of your treatment goals.
Print these lists and bring them with you to your appointment to save time during your visit and to give Dr. von Plitt a more complete picture of your health.
DOES DR. VON PLITT ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Dr. Andrew von Plitt, ND offers a print out called a Super Bill that can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement of the cost of your visit. Please be sure to check with your insurance to ensure they offer reimbursements in this way.
