NASAL SPECIFIC

30 - 60 minute appointment

Nasal Specific Technique (aka Cranial Release Technique, Cranial Facial Release [CFR], Bilateral Nasal Specific [BNS]) is an intranasal manipulation that has been in use since the 1930s.  The purpose of this treatment is to increase CSF flow and blood flow to the brain and to help balance the autonomic nervous system by manipulating cranial bones.

Many patients with sinus congestion, seasonal allergies, chronic runny nose, headaches, brain fog, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), Post-concussive syndrome, TMJ/jaw pain, snoring, difficulty breathing through their nose, symptoms of autonomic dysregulation (such as excessive sweating or always feeling as if one is in fight-or-flight mode) have benefitted greatly from receiving Nasal Specific treatments.

This technique is performed by the inflation of a small ballon in the nasal passageways in both nostrils.  Some patients describe it as feeling like a chiropractic adjustment inside their head.  The procedure only lasts a few seconds with each ballon inflation.  This procedure can feel intense, but patients regularly come back for additional treatments due to the relief they experience following this procedure.
